Guido Rodriguez scored as Argentina beat Uruguay 1-0 in their second match in the Copa America 2021 group stages, MySportPlug reports.

The first half was brilliant with one goal being scored by Lionel Messi’s led team who ensured the 45 minutes went their way with few opportunities created.
Argentina scored an early lead in the 13th minute as Lionel Messi set up Guido Rodriguez who made sure he converted neatly to make the scoreline 1-0 with a good finish.
Uruguay had some good moments that could have given them the leveler, but their finishing wasn’t good enough as they couldn’t get the ball past the defenders and goalkeeper.
Both teams continued to create opportunities as the first half carried on with the away side trying to find a way back into the game but it proved difficult.
The first half progress and no goal as it ended with Argentina taking a 1-0 advantage into the break against Uruguay who was just unlucky in front of the goal.

It was an evenly balanced second half encounter between the two sides who weren’t that good with their finishing as the chances kept on coming.
Uruguay were the better side when it came to ball possession but they couldn’t use that to their advantage as they failed to make more opportunities come their way.
Argentina were okay to maintain their lead as the game carried on with them pushing forward just to get another goal and kill off the game before anything goes wrong.
Nothing coming from the two Nations as the second half entered into the last few minutes of play with an end to end battle which more chances went to the home side.
The match finally came to an end with Argentina running away with a 1-0 victory and three points against Uruguay who had to settle for nothing in their second match.
