Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has made some statement concerning Antonio Rudiger new contract with the club, MySportPlug reporting.
The German defender has been in talks with Chelsea to extend his contract with the club which will keep him beyond this season playing for them.
Chelsea and Antonio Rudiger are yet to reach an agreement for a new contract with the club as both parties want something different which has been the issue all through.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are both strongly linked with a move for the defender who could turn into free agent if nothing is done by the English Premier League side.
Antonio Rudiger is allowed to hold talks with another club when the January window opens as there is a possibility of him reaching an agreement pending if he gets a better offer.
This could come as a big blow for Chelsea who might miss out on their player that is one high demand and top form since Thomas Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard last season.
Thomas Tuchel has admitted that there is a “delay” over the resolution of Antonio Rudiger’s Chelsea future, but he hopes that the defender will remain with the club beyond this season.
The Blues man’s deal is up at the end of the season and he has indicated that he may move on from Stamford Bridge with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich already making moves to sign him.

“The situation is the situation. We want him to stay, this is very clear and he knows it.
“But sometimes in these situations there is a certain delay and, obviously, there is a delay in these talks and his decision.”
Chelsea next game will be against Juventus and Antonio Rudiger will be looking to make sure he helps the Blues get their revenge against the Italian side in the UEFA Champions League.
