Nigeria claimed a narrow 1-0 victory in their first game in the Africa Nations Cup 2022 against Egypt with goal score by Leicester City’s man Kelechi Iheanacho, MySportPlug reporting.
It wasn’t just an ordinary match between Nigeria Vs Egypt, as they are currently two of the biggest Nations in African football parading the best players which was clearly the difference after 90 minutes played between them in Cameroon.
Too much quality was on display with the result showing how closely matched it was if it wasn’t for the goal scored which separated things with Nigeria getting three points and seat top of the group as Guinea-Bissau Vs Sudan play their match also today.

Wonderful first half encounter for both Nations who went in the 45 minutes with so much confidence and fire which was some good display coming and one goal scored after all that was shown from Nigeria Vs Egypt.

The hustle continued with both teams pushing back and front with aim of changing the scoreline which was in favor of the home side for the encounter as they carried on without anything happen under the final few minutes left to be played in the first half.
It was a 1-0 scoreline after 45 minutes between Nigeria Vs Egypt which saw them heading inside for the break with the Super Eagles taking a well deserved advantage heading into the dough out thanks to Kelechi Iheanacho.
The second half was more evenly balanced as both teams came in looking good regardless of how the result looked after the end of 45 minutes which saw the home side taking a slim advantage heading for the break.
Nigeria continued holding on to their advantage as Egypt committed more bodies forward to find a way back which failed to happen for them as the match was looking like a win for the side with the lead after 65 minutes played.
Things continued with the same scoreline as they approached the final 5 minutes of the match which nothing could happen as more opportunities kept flashing by but nothing changed from how it was going that gave the Super Eagles hope of 3 points.
It came to an end with Nigeria sealing the win 1-0 with Kelechi Iheancho goal scored in the first half against Egypt which puts them 3 points top of the Group with just one game played in the AFCON 2022 tournament after 90 minutes.
