Seven different goal scorers for Germany as they thrashed Latvia 7-1 in their buildup to Euros Championship with Timo Werner scoring while Havertz assisted, MySportPlug reports.
First Half Report Germany 5-0 Latvia
The first half was a whitewash as the Germans scored five solid goals which saw Robin Gosens opening the flood gate in the 19th minute after he made it 1-0 with assist from Kai Havertz.
Germany were quick to double their lead in the 21st minutes thanks to Gundogan who ensured he finished off neatly to make the scoreline 2-0 after a good buildup play.
Latvia were very poor in defending as Thomas Muller made it 3-0 in the 27th minute which he was assisted by the first goal scorer as they continued to dominate play.
An own goal from Roberts Ozols in the 39th minute ensured the scoreline increased to 4-0 for the Germans who were unstoppable at that point in the game.
Serge Gnabry added another one which made things 5-0 in the 45+ minutes after an amazing good display from the home side ensuring they pound more goals.
The first half ended with Germany cursing with an amazing 5-0 lead against a very poor Latvia side who couldn’t make a thing happen as they were bullied all through.
Second Half Report Germany 2-1 Latvia
The second half started out good with both teams going at each other and it was also more evenly balanced than it was in the first 45 minutes which the goals were so much.
Timo Werner made it 6-0 in the 50th minute after the Chelsea forward made sure he didn’t miss the opportunity given to him by Joshua Kimmich to score a beauty for Germany.
Latvia tried everything possible until they were able to get something of their own which came in the 75th minute after a neatly calm finishing from Saveljevs to make if 6-1.
It didn’t look like it was over as Leroy Sane scored another one in the 76th minute of the game which made it 7-1 after a beautiful assistance from Thomas Muller.
The match finally came to an end with Germany finishing off with a 7-1 result against Latvia which saw them winning the friendly encounter by a whitewash that could have been more.
